Excited for My Upcoming Google iOS Interview

Hey everyone!

I’m thrilled to share that at the end of this month, I’ll be interviewing for an iOS role at Google — for the second time! As a new dad, I must say this time around feels like it’s five times harder 😰. Balancing parenting responsibilities with my preparation has been a challenge, but I’m determined to make it work.

My Preparation Journey

To get ready for this opportunity, I’ve been diving deep into coding practice. So far, I’ve tackled over 100 medium and hard LeetCode questions. The platform has been invaluable in sharpening my problem-solving skills and reinforcing my understanding of algorithms and data structures. Each question not only improves my coding abilities but also builds my confidence for the interview.

The preparation has been intense, and I’ve developed a few strategies that have helped me manage my time effectively while balancing family life. Here are some tips that I found particularly useful:

  • Set a Schedule: I allocate specific times during the day when I can focus entirely on coding. Early mornings and late evenings work best for me.
  • Prioritize Quality Over Quantity: Instead of cramming a large number of questions, I focus on understanding the underlying concepts and patterns.
  • Mock Interviews: Practicing with peers or through platforms that simulate real interview conditions has been instrumental in building my confidence.

Call for Insights and Collaboration

If you’ve recently gone through the iOS or Android interview process at Google (within the past year or so), I would love to connect! Sharing experiences and insights can be incredibly beneficial as we prepare for these competitive interviews.

I’m particularly interested in discussing the kinds of technical questions that were asked, the interview format, and any tips or strategies that helped you succeed. If you have any resources or question pools, that would be a bonus!

Feel free to DM me or reply here if you’re open to chatting. I believe that by sharing our experiences, we can all prepare smarter and support each other through this journey.

Wishing Luck to All

To everyone else grinding through interviews, I wish you the best of luck! Let’s keep pushing forward, supporting one another, and achieving our goals.

Don’t remember every single detail, but I’d be happy to help however I can. Feel free to DM me and we can go over what I do remember. Good luck — you got this!

Thank you for your support! I appreciate any insights you can share. Let’s make this a collaborative effort!
